UTS Photography staff member Dr Cherine Fahd has written another article exploring the politics of representation in an Australian context on The Conversation. Her latest piece “From ‘Leb bread’ to ‘Leb Kelly’, finally we’re seeing more Middle Eastern faces on TV” has also just been featured on ABC news.
UTS Photography is proud to announce that honours student Ashleigh Garwood is one of nine finalists for the 2017 NSW Visual Arts Emerging Fellowship (NSWVAEF). The fellowship, valued at $30,000, is offered by the NSW Government and is granted in order to enable an early career visual artist to undertake a self directed program for the purposes of professional development. All 9 finalists are currently exhibited at Artspace. See the Artspace website for further details.
